On Monday, January 29, in Manchester, New Hampshire first responders reportedly saved a woman from being badly compressed inside of a garbage truck.
As explained by Boston 25 News, fire officials stated that the woman was first inside a dumpster. Ready for it to do its job, the garbage truck had lifted the bin on Beech Hill Drive, reports stating ‘dumping the trash and woman inside’.
The sanitation worker divulged the events of and how things took a turn for the worse. He explained that the truck dumped trash inside counting more than 3 times before he noticed her. Discovering what could become gruesome in the truck through a camera, he phoned the authorities.
It’s unfortunate the driver couldn’t catch the woman before the incident occurred and not being able to capture the exact timeline of events from first responders, luckily, she was able to be identified. It was reported by the neighbors to Boston 25 News the woman is a 60-year resident in the community. They assumed somehow she stumbled into the dumpster while taking her trash out.
There is an ongoing investigation.
Follow Up After The Garbage Truck Crushed Woman
It was reported it nearly took close to 30 minutes for the rescue operation event. It appeared the woman wasn’t in great condition to answer any questions asked by the firefighters. In hopes of rescuing the badly conditioned woman, they tried to speak to her through a panel (side) in the truck as she appeared seemingly stable.
It was reported they used an attached basket on the fire truck came to bring the woman out of the garbage truck.
Amanda Czzowitz, a neighbor of the 60-year-old woman explained to the outlet that the woman was screaming in “agony.” Matthew Czzowitz chimed in that his kids were present from school, and they were not permitted to look when they pulled the poor woman out of the garbage truck.
Regardless of the statements by the neighbors, It is elusive of the woman’s appearance before the incident and her injuries.
Reports from Boston 25 News that first responders transported a woman to Elliot Hospital and her state was “serious condition.”
