Rihanna has unrivaled hair style. The singer has changed her appearance several times this year alone (and don’t forget, it’s only halfway over), proving that she can rock any cut, color, or texture. She has gone from blonde bombshell waves to a flippy pixie, a pink wig, and even natural curls.
And on Friday, at her partner A$AP Rocky’s American Sabotage by AWGE menswear spring-summer 2025 fashion show during Paris Fashion Week, Rih put this theory to the ultimate test by making her debut with a divisive Y2K hairstyle. Wearing a maroon cropped puffer coat with a white fuzzy lining and a white tank dress with garter-style details hanging from the hemline, the mother of two donned her best for the occasion to support Rocky in the front row. She accessorized with layers of diamond jewelry, a striking pair of stilettos encrusted with rhinestones, and oversized red-rimmed sunglasses.

But what really drew our attention was her change in hairdo. She went for a Y2K cut and color that featured long, poker-straight strands with streaky blonde highlights and a chunky side bang in place of her natural curly crop, which she flaunted at her Fenty Hair launch earlier this month.
Since Rihanna recently talked to Refinery29 about her struggles with postpartum hair loss following the birth of her sons, Riot Rose and RZA, it is likely that her new waist-length locks are extensions.
“That was not on the pamphlet,” Rihanna said of her hair falling out following both of her pregnancies “I did not expect it to happen in waves, either. I thought it would just happen and grow back.”
She revealed that bald patches would pop up at different times before she declared that she had “enough.” Rihanna added,
“I learned to embrace that in itself. That actually made me get a little more creative and clever with my hair stuff.”
