Details On The Accounts Against The 13-Year-Old Florida Boy
The 13-year-old has been accused of “one count of attempted kidnapping,” according to Inside Edition. The publication withheld his identity. It did, however, mention that the boy is presently being housed in a Fort Pierce juvenile detention facility.
The outlet also revealed that the boy has not been charged as an adult despite possibly having mental health issues.
What Allegedly Happened
Inside Edition reports that the alleged abduction incidents took place on July 2 and July 7 in the evenings. The boy is said to have carried a knife during both events.
The woman was allegedly grabbed by the boy from behind while she was standing on her porch on July 7.
“You’re not going to make a f*****g sound, do you understand?” he allegedly told her. “You’re coming with me.”
According to reports, the woman bit and kicked to defend herself until she “fell” out of his hold.
CBS12 reports that the incident on July 2 was comparable. But authorities were also recently made aware of another incident that had “not been previously reported.”
According to the outlet, on June 29, a woman started feeling “uneasy” while out for a walk with her dog. According to reports, the woman claimed that someone had followed her home. She heard “banging” as soon as she walked in and shut the door.
What The 13-Year-Old Said About The Alleged Incidents
On Wednesday, July 10, the 13-year-old was placed under arrest, according to Fox 35 Orlando. According to Inside Edition, this happened after authorities made the 13-year-old’s surveillance tape public and got four tips about who he was.
The outlet claims that Indian River County Sheriff Eric Flowers talked candidly about the boy’s apprehension.
“He admitted, somewhat, that he was the guy who did this,” the sheriff explained. “He saw the [surveillance] video.”
According to CBS12, the boy seemed to have described the events as if they were out-of-body encounters.
“His story was that he felt that he was in a dream-like state, that he was watching himself from above,” Sheriff Flowers reportedly explained. “That he didn’t know if it was real.”
