Details On Corey Comperatore, Victim Of Rally Shooting
According to PEOPLE, the person who tragically lost his life at Donald Trump’s Pennsylvania rally on Saturday was identified as Corey Comperatore. The source disclosed that Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro claimed that Corey Comperatore “died trying to protect his family” at a press conference that CNN covered.
Governor Shapiro also said that Comperatore allegedly dove on top of his family to protect them from gunshots.
Governor Shapiro reportedly said that Corey loved his family dearly and was a fervent Trump supporter when he spoke with Corey’s wife and two daughters following the incident, according to TSR.
“Corey was a girl-dad. Corey was a firefighter. Corey went to church every Sunday. He was so excited last night to be there with Trump and the community.”
According to PEOPLE, Dawn Comperatore Schafer, Corey’s sister, shared news of his untimely death on Facebook.
“The PA Trump Rally claimed the life of my brother, Corey Comperatore. The hatred for one man took the life of the one man we loved the most. He was a hero that shielded his daughters. His wife and girls just lived through the unthinkable and unimaginable,” Dawn wrote.
Schafer pleaded for prayers for her family.
“My baby brother just turned 50 and had so much life left to experience,” she added. “Hatred has no limits and love has no bounds. Pray for my sister-in-law, nieces, my mother, sister, me and his nieces and nephews as this feels like a terrible nightmare but we know it is our painful reality,” Dawn continued.
