According to reports, an 18-year-old in Georgia has been detained for two months after informing authorities that he had sexually assaulted a donkey and committed a bestiality offense against the family’s Great Dane dog. It seems that additional inmates in the Monroe County jail became aware of the specifics of the case.
After following another prisoner into a cell and punching him for making fun of him by making donkey noises, Jason Weir was charged with a new misdemeanor battery, according to local ABC affiliate WSB-TV.
Weir has been detained for 61 days as of Friday, according to Monroe County Jail records obtained by Law&Crime. However, two separate warrants are listed, one for the felony animal sexual abuse case and the other for a misdemeanor battery offense that seems to be related to the reported outburst in the jailhouse.
According to the current account, an inmate who was aware of the specifics of the case against Weir began to make donkey noises. This allegedly triggered the defendant to the point where he pursued the inmate into a jail cell, struck him in the eye and ear, and then claimed responsibility for the outburst.
According to the report, the prisoner did not retaliate when the furious bestiality suspect allegedly turned the verbal altercation into a battery offense.
According to the Montgomery County Reporter, Weir’s own family members claimed that he was caught trying to have sex with their male Great Dane, named Freedom, in the backyard outside their house while wearing his underwear down. This information led to Weir’s arrest in May.
“He’s 18 now and should know better,” Weir’s family reportedly stated of the incident.
The defendant’s sister was among the family members who allegedly lost faith in Weir after he took the Great Dane for a walk and failed to return to the house immediately. Weir, on the other hand, is said to have attempted to justify his undies by accusing the dog of tipping him over while the defendant was using the restroom.
In Georgia, being a bestial person is a crime that carries a minimum one-year sentence and a maximum five-year sentence if found guilty.
