Surveillance footage has surfaced depicting Sean (P. Diddy) Combs assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Casandra Ventura, also referred to as Cassie, in 2016.
The singer has filed a lawsuit against Diddy alleging assault, abuse, and trafficking.
Additional Details On The 2016 Footage Of Diddy & Cassie
The exclusive evidence was published in an article on Friday, May 17, according to CNN. March 5, 2016, is when the footage was reportedly dated, The footage depicts the former couple at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles which is no longer operating.
In the gruesome footage, Cassie is seen after supposedly escaping a hotel room. She’s seen walking to what appears to be an elevator and Diddy who appears to be holding a towel around his waist, runs after Cassie. He approaches her and begins to aggressively grab the back of her neck, flinging her to the floor.
Cassie is lying on the floor seemingly unresponsive for a moment, Diddy decides he wasn’t done with her, he then turns around and kicks Cassie several times and collects her purse and other belongings from the floor.
Continuing his rage, Diddy is seen dragging Cassie by her jacket, seemingly toward their room.
As you continue to watch the violent clip, Cassie is seen painfully picking up a hotel phone. Diddy then returns and plows Ventura into a corner underneath the camera.
As the clip persists, Diddy is later witnessed sitting at a table and chucking an item in Cassie’s direction.
According to the platform, Cassie’s lawyer, Douglas H. Wigdor, has issued a report about the incident.
“The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light,” Wigdor stated.
CNN reports that the platform has reached out to Combs and InterContinental Hotels for a comment on the surfaced footage. TMZ has since reported that an agent for InterContinental Hotels & Resorts has released a statement.
“This hotel is no longer under IHG management, and we do not have any access to prior incident records or footage.”
Furthermore, “law enforcement sources” reported that authorities have not been capable of tracking down records of the incident. Therefore, it may have not been reported back then. LAPD has reportedly announced to the outlet that it’s not likely authorities will seek charges against Diddy due to the statute of limitations!
Cassie has yet to publicly voice her reaction to the footage, in addition to a representative for Combs.
More Details On Cassie Ventura’s Original Lawsuit & Following Settlement With Diddy
Cassie reportedly shared that at the time of the incident, Diddy was “highly intemperate” and punched her in the face, “giving her a black eye.”
Later, Cassie fled their hotel room, which provoked Diddy to chase her.
“He grabbed at her, and then took glass vases in the hallway and threw them at her, causing glass to crash around them as she ran to the elevator to escape,” the lawsuit reportedly states.
At that point, Cassie allegedly took a cab to her home. Nevertheless, she later made her way to the hotel.
“Upon realizing that her running away would cause Mr. Combs to be even angrier with her, and completely stuck in his vicious cycle of abuse, Ms. Ventura returned to the hotel with the intention of apologizing for running away from her abuser,” the suit reportedly states. “When she returned, hotel security staff urged her to get back into a cab and go to her apartment, suggesting that they had seen the security footage showing Mr. Combs beating Ms. Ventura and throwing glass at her in the hotel hallway.”
According to the suit, Diddy reportedly paid the hotel $50,000 for footage of the incident.
Moreover in the November case, Ventura described a number of instances where Combs beat and bruised her. In addition, the singer alleged that Combs even sexually assaulted (raped) her and forced her to have unknowingly sexual relations with male sex workers.
After her lawsuit, Ventura and Combs came to an agreement discreetly.
