Star of “Snowfall,” Damson Idris, took to Instagram to address the recent rise in unjustified hostility toward Black women, with a message addressed specifically at Black men.
Damson shared the following statement on his Instagram Stories:
“I see so much unprovoked hatred towards black women today by predominantly grown black men. Especially towards our young stars that are just trying to do their thing. The compulsion to humble these women perhaps makes you feel like more of a man. I promise you, you aren’t men to us. A new year is approaching. Grow up.”.
About the taunts from the public, Megan said,
“The truth is that I started falling into a depression. I didn’t feel like making music. I was in such a low place that I didn’t even know what I wanted to rap about. I wondered if people even cared anymore. There would be times that I’d literally be backstage or in my hotel, crying my eyes out, and then I’d have to pull Megan Pete together and be Megan Thee Stallion.”
The reason behind Damson’s message is unknown, the on-again-off-again with partner Lori Harvey had the actor coping with the fallouts from his split.
Idris and Harvey announced their split after one year together.
“We are at a point in our lives where our individual paths require our full attention and dedication,”
the couple said in a joint statement to the Hollywood Reporter.
“We part ways remaining friends with nothing but love and respect for each other and the time we shared together.”
That was when the two stars split back in 2023. Since then, nothing has been reported from Damson on the situation. As of now, he stands on his beliefs and statements on black women.
