A 10-year-old son of Lil Durk is being accused by a man of carrying out a violent crime at his mother Travonna Collier’s request. This past weekend, Joshua Pippens introduced the extremely bizarre story to social media. Pippens asserts that he is Jerome Harris Jr.’s stepfather and that he and the child’s mother are also parents to a daughter..
Lil Durk’s Son Accused Of Shooting Stepfather
Joshua claimed on Instagram that he was shot by Jerome Harris Jr. after a fight with his mother at home. Pippens shared the posts on Instagram using the @reezy_dgf account, which appears to no longer be active.
He revealed security footage from July 1, 2024. He said he was “not the aggressor” in the caption. The stepfather allegedly owned the weapon and had it on his waistband at the time of the incident.
“As y’all can see I was not the aggressor and y’all also can see how I still had my gun on my hip, he grabbed my gun off my hip following his mom’s lead and tried to shoot me and then actually shot me. I advise y’all see it before they take it down,” he wrote.
In his Instagram Story, Joshua Pippens talked about the incident in more detail. He disclosed that Travonna Collier does not have custody of his children. He was shot, but he was thankful the boy didn’t shoot his own mother. He wrote, “That’s still my daughter’s mom, but she knows like ik.”
“…I was trying to protect myself from getting shot. I never thought in a million years thought a kid I bought 4 wheelers and paid for football leagues and everything would do this but he only knows what mom shows him. I still love him like he’s mines,” Joshua Pippens shared another post, adding a middle finger emoticon.
Stepfather Shares Police Evidence Of The Incident
Joshua Pippens also posted a picture of what looks to be a police report, describing what Lil Durk’s son Jerome told the authorities. The boy claimed that despite his pleas for them to stop, he was witnessing his mother and Pippens fighting at Joshua’s house. The child once pushed Pippens after getting out of the car.
He also acknowledged that his mother owned a gun, but that it “didn’t go off,” and that Pippens was allegedly attempting to take the gun away from her. Jerome claimed that after Joshua’s gun dropped to the ground, he picked it up and shot Pippens to defend his mother. In addition, he disclosed that Travonna gets “really mad, really fast” and that his mother and stepfather have previously “yelled” at one another.
Jerome and the other three of Travonna’s children were recommended as “children in need of services” by the Indiana Department of Child Services in the police report. The report also suggested Joshua Pippens and Lil Durk (real name: Durk Banks) remain out of their mother’s care and asked for permission for “relative care, kinship care, or foster care” as well as unsupervised visitation.
“I pray y’all favorite rapper takes full custody of Romeo and I get full custody of mines. Call me what y’all wanna call me, it’s bout the kids at the end of the day,” Joshua Pippens wrote on IG Story.
Lil Durk hasn’t commented on the situation. Pippens too shared that his intention is not for any individual to go to jail, per Daily Mail.
