Following George Clooney’s call for President Joe Biden to drop out of the presidential contest, Donald Trump is pursuing the actor.
According to Vanity Fair, the former president referred to the 63-year-old as a “rat” and a “fake movie actor.”
George Clooney Requests For Joe Biden To Step Down
Trump’s criticism of Clooney comes after the actor’s “I Love Joe Biden” opinion piece in the New York Times. But a Fresh Nominee Is Required. He called Joe a “hero” in it. But George saw a sharp deterioration in his health.
Clooney has thrown multiple fundraisers for Biden. He claimed in the article that Joe wasn’t the “big F-king deal” or “even the Joe Biden in 2020.” We had all seen the same man during the debate. George stated that Joe needs to step aside if the Democrats hope to win because of his advanced age. The actor added, “This isn’t only my opinion; this is the opinion of every senator and Congress member and governor that I’ve spoken with in private.”
Donald Trump Attacks George Clooney on Truth Social
One would assume that Trump would take offense at any criticism directed at Biden. The 78-year-old, though, didn’t respond well to George’s request that Joe step down. According to Vanity Fair, it’s probably because he outperformed the president following the first presidential debate. Perhaps a new rival means more intense competition. “So now fake movie actor George Clooney, who never came close to making a great movie, is getting in the act,” Donald wrote on Truth Social, ridiculing Clooney and his career.
“What does Clooney know about anything?” he inquired. In addition, Trump showed his meek side by writing that the actor ought to “get out of politics and go back to television” in response to the previous jab. For him, movies were never really effective.
As was previously mentioned, a large number of Democrats are urging Biden to withdraw from the presidential contest. However, some politicians still fully support Joe.
