Lounge babes! Do you all remember the Everest College guy? The one who always made us feel like we were slackers and needed a 9-5 at the age of 10?!

You know that one guy who screamed at you to basically stop “sitting on the couch and letting life pass you by”? That one from the classic early 2000s commercial that BET aired every hour on the hour?

Whew! He’s presently going viral online for an interview that he did with a content creator (YouTuber) two years ago.

Everest College Guy Shares Some Details Of Iconic Commercial

In an interview that was released in May 2022, the “Everest College Guy,” also known as Babatunde Artunde (yep, he has a name), spoke with well-known YouTuber and content creator Curtiss King.

Babatunde Artunde, however, is currently trending on X (previously Twitter) as a result of a clip from his exclusive interview with Curtiss that was discovered by the media website The Art of Dialogue.

Babatunde Artunde revealed startling details regarding his infamous Everest College commercial during his conversation with Curtiss. Even Curtiss was taken aback by the claims and details.

Babatunde clarified how the Everest commercial was made, pointing out that it was easier than one might have thought. He stated, among other things, that the buildings that materialized behind him were not dorms and that they did not even film the commercial on the Everest campus.

“I remember we were at a Embassy Suites on Thomas in Phoenix, Arizona. I remember we didn’t even have correct lighting, so I’m in a parking lot. They had a car; they turned the car around and put the headlights on. It might’ve been the brights even,” Babatunde explained.

Social media users were taken aback by Curtiss’s query to Babatunde regarding whether or not he had truly attended college.

“Hell nah! Hey, if I had attended Everest College, I couldn’t have gotten paid for none of their commercials,” Babatunde said.
