Obama empathized with Joe and lent some advice to the American people via X the day after the debate. The 62-year-old wrote:
āBad debate nights happen. Trust me, I know. But this election is still a choice between someone who fought for ordinary folks his entire life and someone who only cares about himself.ā He continued, āBetween someone who tells the truth; who knows right from wrong and will give it to the American people straight ā and someone who lies through his teeth for his own benefit. Last night didnāt change that, and itās why so much is at stake in November.ā

President Biden Admits To Verbally Stumbling In His Debate Performance
President Joe also commented on his performance during a rally on June 28 in North Carolina. The 81-year-old said, āI know Iām not a young man. I knowā¦state the obvious.ā The crowd began to cheer loudly and chant his name.
He continued, āI donāt talk as smoothly as I used toā¦but I know how to tell the truth.ā BidenĀ reassured his supporters, āI know right from wrong, and I know how to do this job.ā The President passionately stated, āā¦I know like millions of Americans know ā when you get knocked down, you get back up!āĀ The crowd roared in response to his statement.
