After being stabbed in the Fulton County Jail, Shannon Stillwell, a defendant connected to the Young Slime Life group, is presently receiving medical attention in a hospital.
Channel 2 Action News has received confirmation from the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office that Stillwell was the victim of a stabbing incident during the night.
Currently facing charges including RICO offenses, murder, involvement in a criminal street gang, and violations involving firearms, Stillwell is also known by the aliases Shannon Jackson and SB.
Fulton County Sheriff’s Office has named inmate Willie Brown as the suspect in the aggravated assault and possession of forbidden items charges.
According to deputies, Brown and Stillwell got into a physical altercation that ended with multiple stabbings to Stillwell. His health is stable right now. Although Brown and Stillwell were in the same vicinity, law enforcement officials have declared that they are not aware of the events leading up to the stabbing incident.
On July 22, 2020, Brown was first taken into custody by the East Point Police Department on a number of charges, including felony murder and cruelty to minors. There was no bail set for him.
On Monday, Seiden spoke with Stillwell’s fiancée, Tyesha Alexander. According to Alexander, Stillwell had back and abdominal stab wounds, and his surgery took about two hours to complete.
“I love you and I’m praying for you,” Alexander said. “I’m by your side.”
Alexander expressed that she was deeply disturbed but appreciative that Stillwell survived.
The judge met in court on Monday morning with the lawyers for the prosecutors and Stillwell. The jury was excused for the day not too long after that.
“Ladies and gentlemen we’ve had a medical issue come up with one of our participants, so I’m going to have to recess for today,” the judge said.
It was Stillwell’s second stabbing incident while he was a prisoner. His fiancé claims that protective custody will be provided for him and that this incident should have been avoided.
