A robbery suspect has been identified by the authorities who recorded a fast-paced pursuit while driving with his girlfriend and 2-month-old daughter.
Robbery Suspect Lands A High-Speed Chase With Baby
According to Fox11 Los Angeles, Daaiyan Henderson, 21, and two other men were taken into custody by the police after a robbery on July 17.
According to a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Daaiyan Henderson is being held without bail on allegations of kidnapping, endangering the welfare of a child, and evading prosecution.
ABC7 reports that there was an armed robbery in Beverly Hills, California, prior to the incident. Around 5:40 p.m., Hawthorne police discovered the suspects’ car and started a pursuit that eventually took them into South Los Angeles.
Three men ran away when the driver in South L.A. pulled over. After setting up a perimeter and apprehending two individuals, the suspects were turned over to the Beverly Hills police.
The third suspect, Daaiyan Henderson, reportedly fled in a Kia sedan, starting a new chase, according to Fox11 Los Angeles. According to reports, Daaiyan recorded the chase on camera and showed a woman pleading with him to stop the car so their baby would be safe.
Driving at 60 to 70 mph in Culver City, Henderson sped through downtown Los Angeles, dodging cars and running red lights. When the suspect came to a dead end in Blair Hills and deputies blocked his escape, the chase came to an end.

Daaiyan Henderson told police he had a baby in the car in a video that ABC7 was able to obtain. Henderson was seen in the driver’s seat with the baby nestled on his lap.
A moment later, a woman with the child came out of the back seat. After exiting the vehicle, Henderson gave them a hug and observed the woman approaching the deputies.
According to ABC7, the woman was not charged. In addition to feeding and tending to the infant’s needs, deputies changed the baby’s diaper. The baby, though she cried at first, was healthy and made it back to her mother without incident.
Additional Details On The Suspects & Wild Police Chase
Deputy Tony Lomedico told ABC7 that when he and his colleagues realized the suspect had taken them on a risky chase while his child was in the car, they were taken aback.
“It’s crazy to think that not only is this guy driving like a madman, not only does he have his two-month-old daughter in the car and his child’s mother, but he’s taking the time to get on his phone and livestream the whole thing. It goes beyond words when you meet an individual like that.”
Along with Daaiyan Henderson, police also reportedly detained 24-year-old Semaj Lopez and 19-year-old Michael Smith in relation to the Beverly Hills robbery, according to Fox11 Los Angeles.
