The alleged assault dates back to March 2010, when Mueses was a foreign exchange student at Western Michigan University, studying between 2009 and 2013.(WWMT) At the time, his accuser then 20 years old met him at a campus rec center, went to his apartment, and later reported the assault to university police and underwent a forensic exam. No charges were filed back then.

In a terrifying court testimony on August 14, the alleged victim described the assault in chilling detail: after entering Mueses’ apartment under the guise of seeing a family photo, she pleaded, “I don’t want to do anything, I just kept repeating that over and over. I’m thinking, ‘My worst nightmare is about to happen.’” He allegedly ignored her protests—even dismissing gestures like showing her purity ring or trying to make him finish quickly—and continued to assault her as she emotionally dissociated from her body.
She further testified that Mueses treated her like “prey” and told her to “think about this every night.” The trauma continues to haunt her with nightmares.
