Nicki Minaj Nearly Lost Her 20 Million Dollar Mansion Over Lawsuit Debt

A story that had Loungers buzzing nearly took a dramatic turn for Nicki Minaj but the queen of barbs managed to keep her Hidden Hills mansion just in time.

For over a year legal pressure has been building on Nicki Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty over a $503,000 dollar default judgment awarded in a 2022 lawsuit by former security guard Thomas Weidenmüller. The lawsuit stems from a 2019 incident in Frankfurt Germany where Weidenmüller claims he was punched in the face by Petty after intervening during a confrontation at a Nicki Minaj concert. The injuries reportedly required multiple surgeries and a judge later ruled in his favor.

Because Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty failed to respond to the lawsuit for years a default judgment remained in place. Earlier this month a Los Angeles judge signaled readiness to force the sale of Nicki Minaj’s Hidden Hills mansion valued at approximately 20 million dollars in order to satisfy the debt. Court filings revealed the property had millions in equity making it eligible for a court ordered sale.

Once the news became public social media spiraled with speculation and exaggerated claims that the home had already been seized or that Nicki Minaj was facing financial ruin which was not accurate. However, the risk of losing the home was very real.

In a last minute move just hours before a scheduled court hearing on January 22 2026 Nicki Minaj paid the full $503,318 dollar judgment. Attorneys for Thomas Weidenmüller confirmed the payment was received which immediately halted any further court action regarding the mansion.

The payment officially closed the case and allowed Nicki Minaj to retain ownership of her Hidden Hills property. While the situation is now resolved the ordeal sparked widespread conversation about accountability legal consequences and how even top tier celebrities are not immune to court rulings.

For now Nicki Minaj remains firmly planted in her mansion but the close call served as a reminder that legal matters can follow anyone no matter the status or success.
